When coming up with home theater ideas there are two main categories you should look at. The first is the space you have available for your system. 3) Speakers to create a good real theatre like effect.

You can purchase these as a set or separately. As I said before the space you have for your system is key. Flat panel TV’s are very space saving as they can be hung on a wall and take up very little space.

Surround sound speakers work best when positioned in the back corners of a room so they are behind you when you are facing the TV.

DVD, digital boxes and recorders need a space of their own. None of these items are very large but remember you do need to feed cable to all of them and they need to be easily accessible.
