Wireless Surround Sound
Wireless surround sound can allow you to theoretically place the speakers anywhere you want in the room without having to consider running wires at all. You can also change the configuration of your speakers around easily and find the best surround sound setup that fits your room. Because there are no wires to run, you don't have to color-code anything or make sure that you match up the wires to the right connection which is often so confusing for most people.
There is a drawback though. Wireless does not actually mean there are no wires but simply there are less wires than with conventional surround sound systems. Each speaker still has to be powered so that either means plugging it in or running on batteries which can be expensive as they don't last long.
